Before you begin, You must find a T-shirt that fits you well. Make sure your shirt doesn’t conform to your body and doesn't pinch or pull at your sides. The sleeves of your shirt should gently hug your arms, but they shouldn’t be uncomfortably tight. Find a shirt that hits your hip bones and feels comfortable overall

Instructions:

• Place the garment on a flat surface like a table or bed.
• Smooth out any wrinkles or folds.

• Chest width: Measure from the underarm seam of one side to the underarm seam of the other side, across the fullest part of the chest.
• Length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (where the seam meets the neck) down to the hem at the bottom of the garment.
• Sleeve length: Measure from the shoulder seam where the sleeve attaches, down the outside of the sleeve to the edge of the cuff.
• Shoulder width: Measure across the back of the garment from the seam where the sleeves attach on one side to the same seam on the other side.

Tape measure: A flexible, non-stretching tape measure is essential for accurate measurements.

Standard measurements:

• Neck circumference: Measure around the base of the neck, keeping the tape measure snug but not constricting.
• Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, just under the armpits. Keep the tape measure level and parallel to the floor.
• Sleeve length: Measure from the shoulder seam down the arm to the wrist bone. Keep your arm slightly bent at a 90-degree angle.
• Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist, typically above the hips.
• Hips: Measure around the fullest part of the hips, usually about 8-10 inches below the waist.
• Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the ankle bone.

Tips for accurate measurements:

• Wear form-fitting clothing while taking measurements.
• Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart.
• Have someone else help you with measurements for difficult-to-reach areas.
• Double-check your measurements before using them to size clothes.
